Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
This describes what PraiseClip ("we") collects and how it's used. There are two groups of people this applies to: businesses who create an account, and their customers who submit a testimonial.
What we collect from a business account
- Name, email, and password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text) — or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account's name/email and a Google-issued ID instead of a password.
- Your business name, brand color, logo, and Google review link, if you add them.
- Billing details are handled entirely by Razorpay — we never see or store your card/UPI details, only the subscription status Razorpay reports back to us.
What we collect from a customer submitting a testimonial
- Name (optional — testimonials can be submitted anonymously), and whatever they write or say in their video.
- A phone number or email, only if the business already had it to send the request — a self-serve link (QR code/counter link) collects neither.
- Explicit consent to be featured publicly, captured with a timestamp at submission.
- Video, if they choose to record or upload one — hosted and processed by Mux (see below), and optionally archived to Cloudflare R2 if the business has that configured.
How it's used
To run the service: sending the testimonial-request link, showing a business's dashboard, moderating and publishing testimonials, displaying the public wall and embed widget, and billing. We don't sell any of this data, and we don't use customer testimonial content for anything beyond providing the service to the business that collected it.
Third parties that process data on our behalf
- Mux — video hosting, transcoding, and delivery for every submitted video.
- Razorpay — payment processing for paid plans.
- Google — only if a business owner chooses "Continue with Google" to sign in.
- Cloudflare R2 — optional archival copy of videos, only if a business has explicitly configured it.
Each only receives what it needs to do its job, not full access to your account.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. That's it — no advertising or analytics trackers.
Data retention and deletion
A business can delete an individual testimonial anytime from their dashboard. To delete an entire account or ask what data we hold about you, email [email protected] — we'll act on it within 7 days.
Changes to this policy
If this changes materially, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify account owners by email.
